There is ample room to grow many varieties of vegetables in smaller units. For example: lettuces, leafy greens, herbs, medicinal herbs, squash, peas, cabbages, eggplants, zucchini, kale, Brussel sprouts, peppers, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, Swiss chard, and many types of bush beans. In addition, flowering plants such as tomatoes, all types of berries, any herbs, and cut flowers are easily accommodated. We have also been very successful in growing small root vegetables, such as beets, radishes, leeks, green onions, and garlic.

Larger units allow growth of all of the vegetables, vine vegetables or flowering plants mentioned for growing in the smaller units, PLUS melons, papaya, figs, passion fruit, pomegranates, bananas, and even small tropical fruit trees can be grown. Use your imagination and experiment to your heart’s content!
And remember, the largest custom-size systems are easily scaled to your on-site food production needs.
For the commercial grower, Eden AquaPonics now offers NFT (Nutrient Film Technology) and Raft systems, allowing for optimal production of lettuces and herbs.
We don’t recommend growing field crops…such as potatoes or corn… in Aquaponics Systems.
